| Richard Shusterman is a famous modern American philosopher and esthetician.His phil osophy life starts from analytic philosophy,in the progress of his research in American,his res earch orientation turns to pragmatic philosophy from analytic philosophy,influenced by the A merican local pragmatic philosophy.The emphasis of actual experience of pragmatic philosop hy starts to make Shusterman realize the important value of body in aesthetic practice and livi ng practice,and then he turns the research perspective to the body dimension.Under the influe nce of pragmatic aesthetic thought,Shusterman put forward the somaesthetic theory which is both theoretical and practical.The emphasis to body and appearance and the consumption from body have been a fashi on in modern life.To prevent body from being the aim of hedonism and carnalism,how to dee ply know about our body which companies with us everyday,how to complete and show ours elves appropriately in the consumption society and how to grasp and build the body aesthetic standard,have been a urgent issue to us.Leading body aesthetic from desiring orientation to po sitive aesthetization orientation,not only be conducive for us to grasp the connotation of body aesthetic,but also do benefits to lead the modern healthy aesthetic to body and truly realize th e goal for physical and psychological health.This thesis is divided into three parts:Part one discusses the status variation of body in the history of western philosophy,and l eads in the presentation of Shusterman's somaesthetics.The research of body has existed since ancient times,but there are two distinct points of view in the western aesthetics horizon.Divid ed by the creation of modern philosophy,before then body had been controlled by the soul,lea ded by the philosophy of mind-body dualism started by Plato,body is cruelly devalued and de spised;However,after then,the subordinate status of body was overthrown,body achieved the r ecognition and admiration of the philosophers,and even got the dominant role over the mental ity.These discussions of body laid a theoretical foundation for making body a individual project--Shusterman's somaesthetics.Part two teases the theoretical contribution and value of Shusterman's somesthetics based on three research level of somaesthetics and the central category of somaesthetics--body consciousness,and some other basic connotations.The theoretical contribution and value of Shusterman's somaesthetic includes the contribution to the back of the dimension of emotional to aesthetics again,the breakthrough of the non-utilitarian ide as to aesthetic,the contribution to self-knowledge,self-improvement and happy life,and the co mmunication effect of western aesthetic and eastern aesthetic as a bridge.Part three puts somaesthetics into the context of Consumer culture,stating with the utiliz ation of body by online hosts in the live broadcast,discussing the reflection of somaesthetics a nd the materialization and alienation of body in the "live broadcast ".As the online hosts more and more popular and keep growing,we find out that online hosts are just materializing body as a tool to obtain benefits,they have lost the substantial meaning of body and became a alien ation of a symbol for body consumption.The major performance are the superficial aesthetic of excessive pursuits on appearance and the inundation of orectic and sensual bad taste.Aimin g at the alienation of body in live broadcast,the writer comes up with two solutions:establishi ng a correct measure of value,improving self-discipline of aesthetic and taking moral educatio n into aesthetic taste,promoting the public aesthetic literacy. |
