Pixar,as a rapidly rising animation company in recent years,produced many perfect films that have been widely spread around the world.Since 1995,Pixar has produced 19 animated feature films,it shows great success both in the artistic performance and box office.Moreover,this success has not only been limited in the United States,but has also attracted a large number of audiences from all over the world.Compared to the Pixar animated films,our country's animated films behave badly.In fact,there are few representative works that really go abroad.This article attempts to interpret Pixar's animated films from the perspective of cross-cultural communication and film-making,trying to find the reasons why Pixar's animated films can be accepted by audiences in different cultural backgrounds,then provide feasible suggestions for Chinese local animation films.The thesis is divided into three chapters,The first chapter mainly analyzes the background and current status of Pixar's intercultural communication.The second chapter analyzes the specific cross-cultural communication strategies of Pixar animation films,this chapter divides it into four parts,with American culture to be the spiritual core,then repackaging with universal values,by extracting the exotic culture material and mixing different culture symbols,caused the domestic audience's cultural identity,by focusing on social issues to enhance the acceptance of audiences in different cultural backgrounds,through advanced animation production technology and sophisticated animation audio-visual language to enhance the appeal of heterogeneous culture;Finally,through summarizing the success of pixar's cross-cultural communication to promote the cross-cultural communication of domestic animation.
