Zhu Dequn is an outstanding abstract artist in the 20thcentury and the first Chinese painter who is honored as an art Academician of College de France.He traveled to Paris in 1955 to study at a time when the prevalence of Western modernist art prevailed.Through continuous exploration,he changed his concrete painting style into an abstract one.Later in the process of exploring abstract painting,he added the oriental cultural spirit and created abstract paintings with oriental implication.With the influence of traditional Chinese cultural thoughts,Zhu applies artistic language and aesthetic meaning of oriental implication into his abstract paintings.Under the influence of traditional oriental philosophical thoughts,like the thought that man is an integral part of nature as well as the thought of yin and yang,he got rid of the attachment on concrete shape and outlines,and painted with artistic language including unique dotted lines,light and shadow.He created the abstract painting with oriental implication,giving his audiences a pleasant oriental aesthetic experience.The paper starts with the oriental implication in Zhu's abstract paintings.First,the paper explains the meaning of oriental implication and the concrete embodiment of oriental implication in the paintings;Second,the paper goes to the embodiment of oriental implication in Zhu's abstract paintings;Third,the paper analyses the reasons for the formation of oriental implication in Zhu's abstract paintings;Forth,the paper studies the artistic language and aesthetic meaning of the oriental implication in Zhu's abstract paintings.Finally,the paper summarizes the academic value and significance of Oriental implication in Zhu's abstract paintings.
