Research On The Influence Of Mosque Function On Social Stability Of The Grass Root

As one of Hui nationality communities in Northwest China,Guanghe County has a strong religious atmosphere and a large number of believers.There are many Islamic sects in the region and the relationship is complex.The mosque has many characteristics,such as large numbers,large scales,and miscellaneous sects.As a medium for the development of Islam,the mosque plays a non-negligible role in the Guanghe County.The function of the mosque has a direct impact on local ethnic sentiment,ethnic relations and grass roots social stability.In recent years,due to the influence of domestic and international situation,the function of the mosque in Guanghe County has changed to a certain extent.The negative impact of this change has brought troubles to the management of the country's religious affairs.Since the National Religious Conference was held in 2016,the Communist Party of China and government have paid more attention to ethnic and religious affairs.Faced with new problems and new situations in ethnic and religious work,timely adjustment of policies and working methods is of great significance to promoting social development and maintaining regional stability.This paper takes the Guanghe County of Gansu Province as an example,and studies the mosque function of the Hui nationality inhabited areas through literature analysis and field investigation.The function of the mosque in the area has a certain degree of particularity.This article believes that the mosque as an Islamic place of worship has important practical significance on the social stability of the grass root: First,the mosque in Guanghe County has three functions: religion,education,and society.These three functions have extensive impact on the social life of Guanghe County.Second,the function of the mosque in Guanghe County has had a positive and negative influence on areas such as religious affairs,civic education,and social services.The positive influence has promoted the active adaptation of religion to socialism.The negative influence impacted civic education and differentiated the lives of believers and increase financial pressure.Third,to properly handle religious ethnic issues and safeguard social security and stability in Northwest ethnic minority areas,effective management and guidance should be conducted from the three levels of the functions of mosques,clergy,and religious believers.At the same time,the management of ethnic and religious affairs according to law should guarantee citizens' freedom of religious belief.
