At present, our society is experiencing great change and transformation of the country,urbanization and new rural construction and the various impact and effectiveness, are increasingly take attention in the academician and the common. In the Baoan and Salar minority of the northwest in china,the mosque is the Islam culture visible carrier,from its birth it has been displaying and the urban community different social function. The paper based on the investigation of the Baoan and Salar countryside communities,elaborated the social function of mosque in detail;And further thought that the village government's characteristic is multi-dimensional strength interactive gambling in the community of countryside;The rationality and legitimacy about function of mosque is pay attention to scholars. So, the mosque as the representative of local knowledge must actively adapt to the needs of modern development in the modernization.However,the national social work is one of the patterns to development in rural communities in the Northwest.This is a topic worthy of permanent concern, but action has long way to go.
