The Study Of Zhuzi's Philosophy In The Region Of Siming In Song And Ming Dynasties

Neo-Confucianism(which can be shorten to Lixue)was prominent in North Song Dynasty,which has a supreme position in History of Thought Academy in China.In North Song Dynasty,under the following influences: such as the social and economic development was blooming,strengthen its centralization by the government,the culture of “attaching importance to literature and restricting military force” and so on,the school of Lixue who proposed that Confucian can rejuvenate the nation came into bud.Among them,there are pioneers of Lixue in Song Dynasty,who are Hu Yan,Su Fu and Shi Jie.The three were called “Three Scholars in the Beginning of Song Dynasty”.This school of thought came into a climax when it was during the years of Xining,Yuanfeng under the Song Shenzong's reign,a host of eminent ideologists emerged,such as the founder of Lixue Zhou Dunyi,Zhangzai,Cheng Hao,Cheng Yi brothers,etc.,the scholars built up their own theories one by one based on Confucius classic,then the thought of Lixue formed.During this period,“Five Qingli Scholars ” came out in the region of Siming,who brought in the school of Lixue of “Three Scholars in the Beginning of Song Dynasty” to Siming,nurtured many talents.They are the pioneers of school of Lixue in Siming.During the several decades between North Song Dynasty and South Song Dynasty,many schools of thoughts contend for attention in the field of thought,especially the rising and development of schools of Lixue,many Lixue great masters appeared at that time,especially the “Lixue Master” – Zhu Xi in South Dynasty.As he epitomized the thought of Lixue in Song Dynasty,he compiled a large quantity of works to construct a large thought system of Lixue.Zhu Xi educated many students during the time when he was an official and took study trips in Zhejiang Province,which played a great role in the inheritance and development of thought in Zhejiang.Although Siming is the center of Luxue in South Song Dynasty.But after that period,Zhuxue increased gradually its influence in Siming,Huang Zhen,Wang Yinglin,Shi Mengqing and so on as the representatives of decedents of Siming Zhuxue came out,then Siming Zhuxue was in its heyday.As the decedents of Siming Zhuxue,Huang Zhen's most Lixue thought was directly inherited from Lixue thought of Zhu Xi,and his basic frame of Lixue thought was also similar as Zhu Xi's.he was trying to protect Zhu Xi's position in the field of Zhuxi Lixue.Though he criticized and modified some of his thought,such as be realistic and objection to indulge in empty talk,which was also an improvement and popularization of Zhuzi Lixue,in order to promote Zhuzi Lixue.Wang Yinglin was a student of many schools of thoughts,so his ideology showed various forms.His Zhuxue tendency was reflected in his documents in which he laid emphasis on the academic attitude and position of investigation;meanwhile,influenced by Lv Zuqian and Lu Jiuyuan,his general thought was showed that he read extensive literatures,well know of decrees and regulations and combined the characteristics of Zhu,Lu,Lv,and other schools of thoughts.Shi Mengqing praised highly Zhuzi's thought,which can be seen as he thought Zhu Xi as his idol,but he thought “Li” as “the nature is in my heart”,that we can see his thoughts were enriched by integration of thoughts of Zhu and Lu.Dai Biaoyuan,Wang Housun,Yuan Jiao,Cheng Duanli,and so on as the retrospectives of Siming Zhuzi in Yuan Dynasty,they adhered to the Zhuxue and enriched and improved theory of Zhuzi.They contributed a lot on the inheritance of Zhuxi Lixue in Siming.Compared with thought of Zhuzi in the city of Jinhua and thought of Zhuzi in Siming,who were called “descendants of Zhuxue,orthodox school of Lixue”,showed the specific local characteristic and style of thought.By comparison,the author thinks that thought of Siming Zhuzi has the characteristics of “Zhuxue as the leading thought,but take in the essence of other schools”,“emphasis on practice instead of empty talk”,“combination of ‘literature' and ‘reason'” and so on.Thought of Siming Zhuzi from upsurge to the heyday,pushed the region of Siming from thought of Lu to thought of Zhuxue,and gradually became one of the centers of thought of Zhuzi in Zhejiang province.For the other point of view,thought of Siming Zhuzi pushed the improvement and development of thought of Lu,which had a certain influence on the generation of Yinyang idealistic school.Inheritance of thought of Siming Zhuzi was a driving force to learning initiative and learning tradition reconstruction.
