Music is a kind of art which is closely associated with human psychological activities.A large number of studies have found that there is a specific close connection between hearing and motion, music can effectively promote interpersonal cooperative behavior. The beat is one of the basic elements of music, its regularity and prosody are helpful to the process of cognition and memory reappearance. So this paper focuses on the impact of beat on interpersonal cooperative. The current study use Functional near-infrared spectroscopy which is based on hyperscanning technique to simultaneously measure the brain activities of the interacting pairs which were asked to complete the finger tapping task.In this study, the synchronous performance and inter-brain synchronization(IBS)were combined to measure the level of the performance of joint action.Experiment 1 explored the effects of musical beats on interpersonal cooperative behavior. The experiment creates a context containing two conditions, one is the task situation(accented beat and unaccented beat)another is thetask types(cooperation and independence). Results revealed that in the accented beat condition, pairs have better behavior synchronization and IBS was significantly activation in the frontal lobe eye movement region. The findings suggest that musical beats can effectively promote interpersonal cooperative behavior.Based on experiment 1,Experiment 2 discusses the promotion of interpersonal cooperative behavior lying in the aspect of the intensity of the beat. There are two condition including the intensity of the beat(strong & weak)and task types(cooperation & independence). Results showed that significant behavior-related IBS in the frontal pole cortex was found with better behavior synchronization. The finding sheds light on intensity can increase the effect of beat on interpersonal cooperative behavior.Base on the above findings, the study preliminarily reveals the effect of musical beats on interpersonal cooperative behavior and inter-brain synchronization in the lateral frontal lobe of the dorsolateral.Furthermore, strong beats can have a morestrongbrain synchronization between individuals and it is associated with the behavioral synchronism. These results indicate the positive effect of beat onjoint action.
