It's historical background shows a lot possible answers. The development of economic, culture and technique created an atmosphere of interior decoration while higher houses and larger gardens were built.A great demand of painting and calligrapher was also generated under the circumstances. The changed indoor space needed a new style of painting to decorate it,and that's Tiaofu painting. In general, the prevalent trend of Tiaofu painting shows the process that how the art and artworks changed to fit the needs of people and art market. What we called as “traditional Chinese painting” today should be considered as a developing and changing system but not a stiff and stereotype one.And what we call “modern” today will become “tradition” some day.
