Study On "X+Ren" Causative Compounds

This thesis focuses on "X+ren" causative compounds in modern Chinese.It examines the usage of the structure from the aspects of internal composition,syntactic function and semantic representation,and uses cognition,diachronic and other theoretical methods to explain.The full text is divided into five chapters:Chapter One is introduction.This article reviews the research results of the “X+ren” in the academic circles and points out the deficiencies of the existing research.Introduce the research content,theory and method of this article.Chapter Two defines the linguistic unit of "X+ren".Using the linguistic unit definition method,the “X+ren” is divided into two categories: word and disengagement."X" is dominated by verbs and adjectives,and there are fewer nouns."ren" has a tendancy of semantic hypocrisy and generalization.The different class of the "X" has influence on the interpretation way of "X+ren" in the dictionary.According to this,"X+ren" is divided into two categories: high semantic transparency and low semantic transparency.Chapter Three is the syntactic function and class of "X+ren".Through corpus statistics and syntactic distribution,“X+ren” can be divided into multi-functional and single-functional."X+ren" has differences in the degree of freedom in a sentence.Adherent "X+ren" needs using in "yi+N+X+ ren" construction,collocation with special objects,two-syllable adjectives,and using in spoken language,that means,depending on construction and discourse.In addition,the main syntactic functions and syntactic expressions of “X+ren” are described.“X+ren” can be divided into adjectives and verbs,and adjectives are the main ones.Chapter Four is grammaticalization and cognitive semantic interpretation "X+ren".From the perspective of diachronic,we sum up the historical motives of the formation: the development of phrases into words,the conversion of subject objects into affiliation objects,the transformation of cross-layer structures into words,and new words caused by structural analogies.Most “X+ren” express negative emotional meanings.Psychological research shows that this emotional color asymmetry is a human common emotion.Finally,combining the framework theory,the semantic analysis method,the lattice grammar theory,we obtains four types of deep semantic mechanisms and highlighting types of the “X+ ren”.Chapter Five is conclusion.Explain the research value and innovation of this thesis,and reflect on the deficiencies of this article.
