True Immortal Position Diagram And Development Of Taoist Immortal System

Zhenlingweiyetu is the first complete lineage of immortals in the history of Taoism.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter discusses the issue of the author and the version,the possibility of Tao Hongjing's creation,its spread in the Taoist scriptures,and the change of the name.The second chapter elaborates on the relationship between the book and the Taoist books such as "Zhengao","Wushangmiyao",and "Qiyuxiuzhenzhengpintu",focusing on the comparison of the text with the former two.The third chapter explores the non-Taoist factors contained in it,including Confucianism,Buddhism,and folk beliefs,and combines Tao Hongjing's personal experiences with others.The last chapter focuses on the changes in the gods involved in the Supreme Lord,including the creation of Yuanshi Tianzun and the rise and fall of Lao Tzu's(Taisho Laojun)status,analyzing the main reasons for its change.From the above discussion,it can be seen that the “Zhenlingweiyetu” itself is a legendary product of the South-North Taoist immortality system during the period of the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties.The fairy beliefs they represented included northern and southern Taoist gods and were involved in the North and South Taoist books,and fully absorbed Confucianism,There are many non-Taoist factors such as Buddhism and folk beliefs.The established immortal structure and immortal principle were inherited by later generations,and the characteristics of openness and replaceability represented by the concept of immortals and shifts have profoundly influenced the development of Taoist divinity in the Tang and Song dynasties,such as the establishment of Jade Emperor's status.
