China has opened the arms for welcoming the globalization with the opening attitude,which required that we need to cultivate the learners with global consciousness,being familiar with foreign culture,and can communicate with foreigners accurately and appropriately.The new senior school English curriculum standards(2015)of the state also points out that foreign language teaching can't stay in simple stage of language knowledge and skills' teaching.The goal of senior school English teaching also includes "cultural knowledge,cultural understanding,and the intercultural communication consciousness and competence".The English curriculum and teaching practice should lay a solid foundation for improving students' communicative competence in the multicultural background.Therefore,the cultivation of students' intercultural communicative competence has become a new goal in foreign language teaching.How to enhance the effect of intercultural communication teaching in middle school becomes an urgent problem.The multimedia assisted teaching mode entered into the middle school English teaching practice,and is constantly being accepted,recognized,applied and promoted by teachers.Multimedia into the campus,has a great influence on middle school English teaching,it not only improves the middle school English teaching quality and efficiency,and strongly stimulate and promote the development of the middle school English teaching methods,led to the reform of high school English curriculum and goal setting,The teaching reform has played a positive role in promoting the teaching of middle school English.Whether the multimedia technology can be used effectively in the teaching of intercultural communication in middle school English class and realize the cultivation of intercultural communicative consciousness among middle school students is the key point of this research.This research compared traditional teaching pattern of English teachers' teaching with the multimedia aided senior school English teaching mode to cultivate intercultural communication.Through the questionnaire and informal interviews and teacher's observation in the teaching process,the researcher try to study the feasibility and validity of computer assisted foreign language teachers in the cultivation of students intercultural communicative awareness and competence.Based on the analysis of the features and potentials of multimedia technology and the review of relevant studies on multimedia-assisted cultural teaching,the writer shows that the application of multimedia technology in English intercultural communication teaching is feasible and effective.The students believe that the multimedia teaching mode of intercultural communication plays a positive role in the students' intercultural communication awareness cultivation,stimulate the learning initiative and realize the interactivity.The necessity and effectiveness of multimedia assisted English intercultural communication teaching in English language and culture teaching process can be seen,and it also provides valuable reference for multimedia assisted language teaching.
