Learning a foreign language is inseparable from the influence of the external environment.A good learning environment will help learners to improve their target language level to a new level.In present day Nepalese society,Chinese language has become day by day popular,for most of the people mastering in Chinese has become a means of living and finding a job.Thus,learning authentic Chinese Language in Nepal has become a strong desire among most of the Chinese Language learners.The Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University,is the only Confucius Institute in Nepal,and the most popular Chinese language institute in Nepal.The results of the study are as follows: 88.57% of the participants,apart from their class at Confucius Institute don't have other opportunities to practice Chinese;71.43% of the participants study new words and grammar only from the course book studied in the class;30% of the students join CIKU in order to study in China for their further studies;24.28% of the students wants to work in the tourism industry in Nepal and thus started learning Chinese;25.71% of them wants to do business with Chinese people so thought learning Chinese would help them.70% student thinks learning Chinese has to undergo a certain degree of difficulty,but 100% of the student are willing to continue learning Chinese.Although environment is an external factor but its importance in studying Chinese language has become a common understanding ground among all.The language learning environment directly affects the students' performance.Learners can master in a language only in the presence of good language environment.Therefore,only by creating a good Chinese learning environment can help to achieve a better learning and teaching results.
