This thesis is guided by Marxist theory of literature and art,using the research methods of comparitive literature,analysis the relationship between Xinjiang literature and Uzbekistan literature,espacially the influence of Abulla Qadir and his literary works to Chinese Minorities literature.Xinjiang Minorities literature has influenced the literature of all ethnic groups in Central Asia.However,it has also been influenced by them,which has enriched both Chinese Minorities literature and that of various ethnic groups in Central Asia.Abdulla Qadir was born in Tashkent on April 10th 1894 and died on October 4th1938.Abdulla Qadir is known as"Qadiriy"and"Julqunboy"in Uzbekistan and its surrounding countries and regions.Abdulla Qadir is not only significant in the history of Uzbek literature,but also in the entire history of central Asian literature,being the first to use realism in his novels.In his writing career,he published more than 300social argumentative articles,poems,satirical stories and novels.In these,he reflects the spirit of the times through extensive themes and varied literary works.Abdulla Qadir's two novels,Days Gone By and Scorpion in the Pulpit,have also been published and re-printed many times in China,their artistic charm beloved of many readers.This thesis mainly introduces Abdulla Qadir's literary creation,and the dissemination and influence of his works.It is composed of three parts:the preface,body and conclusion.The body of this thesis is composed of four chapters.The first chapter introduces cultural exchange between China and Uzbekistan since the founding of the PRC,especially the positive results of"The Belt and Road"strategy.Firstly,the communication and acceptance of Chinese culture and the art in Uzbekistan is discussed,followed by a discussion of the communication of Uzbekistan culture and art in China.Lastly,the positive influence of"The Belt and Road"strategy on friendly relations between China and the Republic of Uzbekistan is presented.The second chapter explores Abdulla Qadir's life and his literary creation.This chapter consists of four sections.The first section is about the author's life;the second section is divided into three stages to discuss the writer's literary creation;The third and the fourth sections discuss the content and linguistic features of Abdulla Qadir's two long novels,Days Gone By and Scorpion in the Pulpit.The third chapter presents a discussion on the reception of Days Gone By and Scorpion in the Pulpit in China.The fourth chapter analyses the influence of Abdulla Qadir's two novels,Days Gone By and Scorpion in the Pulpit,on Xinjiang Mionorities literature.This covers the influence on Uyghur readers and writers,as well as that on Xinjiang Mionorities literature as a whole.Finally,from the perspective of"The Belt and Road"strategy,the influence of Uzbekistan literature,and specifically that of Abdulla Qadir and his literary works on Chinese Uyghur literature,can be seen as a microcosm of the increasing economic and cultural exchanges as part of friendly relations between China and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
