Su Ting was a famous politician and litterateur during the beginning and prosperous period of Tang Dynasty.Because of his literary achievements,at that time,both Su Ting and Zhang Yue are known as the “Yan Xu Dashoubi”and their influence was quite extensive.In ancient times,the concept of "prose" was relatively broad.In the Tang Dynasty,the prosewere written in the form of parallel prose.Therefore,even though Su Ting's prose are mainly official documents,hisaesthetic style was still impressive.Su Ting's prose has not only inherited the writing techniques of theparallel prose of the early Tang dynasty,but has also opened up a grand and magnificent writing style.The research on Su Ting's prose is relatively weak in academia.This article explores the writing paradigm,stylistic features,writing characteristicsand its influence of Su Ting's prose,in an attempt to make new discoveries in the study of Tang dynasty.This article was completed under the guidance of the basic principles of Marxism.This study divides into four chapters.The first part mainly introducesSu Ting'slife,family history,and friendship,which have exerted a subtle influence on his writing.His representative prose have literary and stylistic writing characteristics in terms of structure and content.The second part mainly discusses the writingcharacteristics of Su Ting's prose.Su Ting's prose inherited the characteristics of parallel prose of Tang Dynasty,at the same time,theyused scattered sentences.The third part mainly discusses the linguistic characteristics and aesthetic value of Su Ting's prose.Su Ting combined the personality characteristics,typical experiences of the characters with the official functions,and objectively shaped the distinctive character image.His prose presents an elegant,grand and magnificent aesthetic style.The fourth part mainly discusses the influenceand why scholars didn't focus on Su Ting's prose,which had a profound influence at that time and later.
