Congnition And Value-A Research About Plato's "Cave Metaphor"

For Plato's "cave metaphor",the academic circles from the perspective of political science.This paper attempts to understanding from the perspective of theory and value theory of Plato's allegory of the "cave metaphor",trying to read Plato " national" based on the allegory of the "cave metaphor " reveals the world structure,the survival status of human beings and the implication of the cognitive path and value were studied.The first chapter of the thesis reproduces the four stages of Plato's "cave metaphor",and makes a further explanation of each stage on the basis of the relevant discussion.In a nutshell,allegory of the "cave metaphor " vividly reveals the reality of human depths of the cave and tied,and describe the prisoners to achieve "soul turning",from inside to outside the cave,from ignorance to have knowledge in the process.In the second chapter,the epistemological significance of Plato's "cave metaphor" is expounded,and the difficulty,possibility and way of human cognition are investigated.In Plato,the world was divided into changeable visible world(phenomenon)in the world and eternal knowable world(Philosophy)in the world,the known world(Philosophy)is true and eternal existence,is the reason for the existence of all things and in accordance with,feel the world but is the ideal world model;but the two worlds are not diametrically opposed,but is accessible,the key is overcome the physical limitations,the realization of soul turning.The third chapter analyzes the meaning of "cave metaphor " based on the meaning of epistemology.Plato argue that the value of the pursuit of good people,the reason for the good and not,because the lack of knowledge of the correct guidance.In reality people such as prisoner inside the cave,general,like a shadow on the wall as false as true,and around the reputation and power struggles.Therefore,in order to realize the value of the good,it is necessary to know the true existence,thus laying the foundation for the value of the self.Here,the existence of the there is a level,so human cognition and value obtained by means of cognition is also a hierarchy,the lowest cognitive style is a fantasy,the opinion,the highest cognitive style is rational.It is the truth.In different cognitive stages and the corresponding value level,the human living condition is also different.
