Republic is the most important book of all Plato's dialogues. In Republic, Plato described his basic standpoint of political philosophy. The idea of cave is Plato's most important metaphor that he gave in Republic. Through the metaphor, Plato described the basic construction of political philosophy, the relationship between the philosophy and politics and the other questions of political philosophy. We will take the search from the Plato's text, reading between the lines, carding the text, from the logic of Plato's manner of writing, the use of metaphor and the drama as a form of Republic, to find Plato's standpoint of the relationship between the philosophy and politics.
