English is one of the major international languages in the world today,and it is also the most widely used language in the world.However,now in most rural middle schools,many students are not interested in English and do not like English.In their opinion,the learning of English vocabulary is boring,with much effort and little gain.Therefore,as time goes by,they lose interest in English and even get bored,and eventually give up.While brainstorming can inspire students' inspiration and let them walk out from the tediousness of memorizing words,inspire students' interest in learning vocabulary.With the hope of this,this study integrates “Brainstorming” into rural middle school English vocabulary teaching,and seeks to find an effective way to help students memorize words and expand vocabulary in order to increase students' interest in learning English.It thus to provide teachers with an alternative teaching method to improve teaching quality.This study is based on the divergent thinking of psychologist Gilford,the stimulating principle of educational psychology and the constructivist theory,with113 students of two ordinary classes of Class 9,Grade 8 and Class 10,Grade 8 in Na Lou middle school,Yongning District,Nanning,Guangxi as the subjects,to investigate the English vocabulary classroom teaching of rural middle school with the brainstorming.What's more,based on the requirements of junior middle school English Vocabulary Teaching in Full-time Compulsory Education Middle School English Curriculum Standard,to study the following questions:(1)Can brainstorming promote students' emotional identification in vocabulary learning?(2)Canbrainstorming help to promote students' good habit in vocabulary learning?(3)How does brainstorming improve the efficiency of students' vocabulary learning? After a semester of experiments,the questionnaires,tests and interviews were conducted on the research and the results are finally obtained:(1)Yes,it can.Brainstorming can promote students' emotional identification in vocabulary learning;(2)Yes,it can.Brainstorming can help promote students' good habits in vocabulary learning;(3)Brainstorm greatly improves the efficiency of students' vocabulary learning.In the course of the study,the following findings are also found:(1)Students don't like English that's because their vocabulary learning strategies are low;(2)In the process of improving students' learning ability,the relationship between teachers and students has also been improved;(3)Teachers' personal abilities have been promoted.As a result,the author has the following inspirations:(1)Our teachers should not simply hand over the task of memorizing words to students,but should actively explore and guide students to master certain strategies and techniques of memorizing words;(2)As long as the teacher is more concerned with and caring for the students,it will surely form a good teacher-student relationship,so as to facilitate the smooth progress of teaching;(3)As a teacher,it is necessary to charge from time to time in order to conform to the trend of The Times.Finally,the author points out the limitations of this study and suggestions for future research.
