| This translation report concentrates on the English-Chinese translation process of chapter 1-5 in the Satellite by Nick Lake that are chosen as the translation practice article.The report combines the aesthetics with the translation of children's literature,adopting the methods of literature analysis and the actual case enumeration to analyze the practice.As target audiences are a certain children group,children's literature has its own characteristics.So that,we should give full consideration to readers' ability of understanding and comprehension,and give full consideration to the translation characteristics of children's literature.The report mainly studies the results of the related research,status of children's literature research and well-acknowledged reception aesthetics.Based on the main ideas of reception aesthetics,this report comparatively analyzes the limitations of its application to translation and the application of reception aesthetics to children's translation.This report studies the current situation and the shortcomings of reception aesthetic researches in relevant fields,and proposing the principles of aesthetics applied to children's literature translation and pointing out the problems which should be noticed in translation.According to the reception aesthetics theories and reader-oriented theory,this report will emphasize the motivation and creativity of translators and readers according to the theory of reception aesthetics,and expresses the author's intention.This part analyzes the sentences and contexts in the English version of the Satellite and studies the methods of allowing translation to conform to readers' thinking pattern from various aspects to show the theme of the text and conclude it.Then it concludes that translation of children's literature should be based on the theory of reception aesthetics,and put forward the strategy of children's literature translation from the perspective of reception aesthetics. |
