Since flipped classroom was introduced to China,more and more research has been done on it.Flipped classroom is applied to different ages and disciplines.Although there are many researches on the flipped classroom of high school English grammar,there is no successful mode for high school English teachers to use."Four steps before class,five steps in class" is an effective mode of flipped classroom teaching.This study will discuss its teaching effect and students' attitude to this English grammar teaching mode.In this study,161 students in two parallel classes has been enrolled at a middle school in Yan 'an city.The experimental class adopts the grammar flipped classroom teaching mode of "four steps before class and five steps in class".The control class adopts the 3P teaching method.In the experiment,there is no significant difference in the two classes before selected.The experiment has been carried out for two months.The data has been from immediate test and delayed test to illustrate the effect of experiment.After that,a survey and interview have been taken to known the students attitude.After the data has been collected,SPSS software is used to do the analysis of descriptive statistics and independent sample T test.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)According to the analysis,it can be found that there is no significant difference between the experimental class and that of the control class in the immediate test.However,in the delayed test,the results of experimental class are higher than those of the control class and there is significant difference.(2)According to the survey and interviews in the three aspects of video,teaching process and other aspects of flipped classroom,students in the experimental class are positive to the video,teaching process and other aspects of flipped classroom teaching mode.The highest is teaching process,then other aspects,the last one is video.However,on the whole,the students can accept the teaching mode.It can be concluded that the grammar flipped classroom teaching mode is better than traditional 3P grammar teaching method,and students hold positive attitude toward it.
