National And Ethnic Identification Reflected By Hui Writers' Novel Creations In The New Period

After opening of the Third Plenary Session of the 11^th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party,ethnic literature has,since then,been ushered into a brand-new development period in a new historical context.Thanks to implementation of ethnic policies,changes of literary creation environments and diversification of cultures,Hui writers'ethnic awareness has been awakened.As a member of Hui nationality,Hui writers are influenced by Islamic culture in their childhood.They will consciously or unconsciously write their mother culture in their creative work driven by the collective unconscious.On the other hand,they will show their national characteristics.They will be influenced by the culture of other nationalities in this big family of China.In the new era,globalization will also impact them,and this series of factors will affect their creation.they closely keep up with the times.Their description of era changes and social development reinvigorates ethnic culture.After a thorough literature review of papers examining literary works by Hui writers in the new period,the author observes that most of these articles are based on the analysis of the national and aesthetic characteristics embodied in the works of the Hui writers.This paper studies the characters in the works and explores the various reasons for the formation of the characters.From the perspective of national theory,this paper discusses how the Hui writers express their cultural identity and national identity through the creation of their works in the new era.There are relatively few research papers on national identity,and relatively few articles systematically combing the creation of Hui writers in the whole new period.Based on this,the author tries to take the novel of Hui writers in the new period as the research object.On the creation of Hui writers in the new period The study of the novel shows how the author not only highlights the nationality of his own ethnic group,but also confirms his national identity and shows his own national identity,thus excavating the cultural connotation and artistic charm of these novels.This paper consists of three parts,including the introduction part,the body part and the conclusion part.Research methods,including case study,comparative research,close-reading and literature research,are adopted to carefully examine the texts.Meanwhile,the modern national and ethnic theories are used to expound on common creation characteristics of novels by Hui writers in the new period.Causes of the common creation characteristics are analyzed.The introduction part is mainly about the current situation of the related research and the definition of the related concepts involved in the article.The body part is made up of three chapters.The conclusion part mainly discusses the literary value and era value of literary creations of Hui writers in the new period.Chapter 1 mainly revolves around awakening of Hui writers'awareness of their national and ethnic identity based on their novel creations in the new period.Reflection of the national awareness and ethnic identity of Hui writers in Hui writers'novels created in the new period as well as influence of literature systems?literature and art policies and awarding system?and post-colonialist ideological trends on their literary creations is analyzed.On that basis,how Hui writers combine their ethnic identity with their national identity to reach a harmonious coexistence between the two identities during the literary creation process is explored.Chapter 2 mainly discusses the national stance and ethnic expression of Hui writers.In this chapter,the awareness of unexpected development of Hui writers and their national awareness to build the national image are analyzed so as to demonstrate their national stance.Meanwhile,that the Hui writers demonstrate the relationship between Hui literature and Islamic culture and highlight their ethnic characteristics by digging the in-depth culture of the Hui people is studied.Chapter 3 focuses on investigating the description of history and the shaping of character images in Hui writers'novels written in the new period.Results suggest that Hui writers have their own stance on literary creations in the new period;In addition,it briefly explains the influence of Islamic culture on the ethnic expression in the works of Hui writers.This endows novels created by Hui writers in the new period with a high literary value and era value.
