Modern Chinese Literature goes to today step by step, pursuing modernization and nationalization through the complicated course by creating while inheriting, drawing lessons from Chinese literature. The development of Modern Chinese Literature depends on traditional resource and foreign resource . In the research field of modern literature , the research about the relation of modern Chinese Literature and foreign resource has been enough , but the relation research of modern Chinese Literature and traditional culture is insufficient. Under the background of modern literature , the thesis tries to study the influence of Confucian culture on New Period literature from writer's angle . Systematical study of the influence of Confucian culture on New Period literature has not been seen yet, This thesis has originality in some degree.The thesis is divided into five chapters. Next it discusses Confucian human concept that molds social man, moral man, Offering a suggestion that facing the natural man , basing on the individual and admitting Confucianism , we can accomplish the promotion to social man, moral man .this is the foundational standpoint of the thesis.The second chapter describes the influence of Confucian scholar-official's spirit on New Period writers. In 1980s ,Confucian scholar-official's spirit had influenced writer's inner world , which made literature play an important role , literature have participated in the social and historical process . In 1990s ,with the great changing of social situation, Confucian scholar-official's spirit shows the trend of transformation among the writers . As writers,how to realize his responsibility by way of individual, realize the modern transformation of Confucian scholar-official's spirit, it is a question that is worth to discuss .The third chapter describes New Period writer's searching for Confucian scholar-official's spirit.
