The Contribution Of Overseas Cantonese In Southeast Asia In Anti-japanese War

During the Anti-Japanese War,under the leadership of Zeng Sheng and Wang Zuoyao,the Dongjiang Column of Guangdong People's Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Group was established.With the support of the local people,compatriots from Hong Kong,Macao and overseas Chinese,the Dongjiang Column,left behind by the enemy,gradually grew stronger and gained the final victory of the Anti-Japanese War in southern China.Among them,the support and participation of Cantonese Chinese in Southeast Asia is an important reason for the final victory of the Dongjiang Column in the South China Anti-Japanese War.When the Japanese invasion of Dongjiang,Overseas Cantonese in Southeast Asia adhered the good tradition of patriotism and love township,they not only publicized China's Anti-Japanese War in the international community,but also raised funds and materials for the Anti-Japanese War in Dongjiang,furthermore,led by the Rescue Committee,they established the “ Service Group of Dongjiang Overseas Chinese”,with Overseas Cantonese in Southeast Asia being as representatives,and Ye Feng as the leader.As the Overseas Chinese work group,the service group stuck to Anti-Japanese National United Front,with the “secure country and hometown”being as the objective and “support front,provide relief for refugees,propagandize Anti-Japanese war and establish the armed forces of masses”being as the major task,it vigorously promoted the Anti-Japanese war of Dongjiang Area.After forced to be dismissed,the overseas Chinese of the service group joined in Dongjiang Column,more strengthening the Anti-Japanese force of Dongjiang Area.In addition to the Chinese battlefield,the majority of Cantonese Overseas Chinese also participated in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression in various overseas Chinese settlements,and won the local democracy and freedom together with the local people.Through the empirical study,this paper discusses the history of Cantonese Overseas Chinese's return to their hometown during the World Anti-fascist War,to fight with the Dongjiang Column and fight against aggression with the people of overseas Chinese settlements.Indicates that the overseas Chinese home resistance is based on a simple feeling of patriotism.And the general Overseas Cantonese in Southeast Asia to participate in the war of overseas Chinese settlements againstJapanese aggression,is based on primitive and general pursuit of human for fairness and justice,the paper reveals the patriotic of overseas Chinese and the contribution made by the world anti-fascist war.
