Singaporean Chinese newspaper is of great significance in the world of Chinese newspaper. As the main part of newspaper, the news reporting can reflect the use of Singaporean Chinese in a certain field of communication,so it has great research value. The paper starts with the five parts of the news reporting, and compares the linguistic differences between Chinese and Singaporean Chinese newspaper in the news reporting, then discusses and analyzes the reasons for differentiation and future development trend.First of all, there are many differences in the language of news reporting between China and Singapore in the necessary parts of news, namely, headline, introduction and text.Chinese news headlines are accustomed to the expression of modern Chinese, and more economic abbreviations and two-syllable verbs are used.Only the quantifier "individual" is omitted. However,Chinese newspapers in Singapore often use monosyllabic verbs in their headlines, omitting many kinds of quantifiers and having a single combination of titles. In China, there are more diversified sentence patterns in the part of the introduction, more single sentences and more information under the use of multiple attributives. There are few single sentences in the introductory part of Singapore. In the main part, there are more types and frequencies of news parenthesis in China than in Singapore.Singapore USES far fewer quotations and direct quotations than China.Singapore USES short sentences in the main body, the language is simple and light, the Chinese news text has many long sentences, and the language style is more serious and stable.Secondly,as an unnecessary component of news--background and conclusion, there are still some differences in the use of words and syntactic choices in the news reports of the two countries. In the context of Chinese news, the time nouns selected are more specific and detailed, and the attributive structure is simple. In contrast, the time nouns in Singapore are vague and broad, and the attributive structure is complex, even multi-layered.In the concluding part, the Chinese ending with single sentence pattern is simple and clear. The Singapore epilogue, which USES complex sentence patterns,is complex and rigorous.
