The Application Of Oriental Symbols In Superhero Films And Cross-cultural Communication

With the enthusiasm of American superhero movies in the world cinema,the research on superhero movies has been increasing.The research on the role of superhero movies in cross-cultural communication has also been continuously enriched and in-depth.Many of the superhero movies are integrated with oriental cultural symbols,so this article focuses on the role of oriental cultural symbols in the cross-cultural communication of superhero movies.First of all,it defines the concepts of superhero movies,cross-cultural communication,and Eastern cultural symbols.It defines the scope of research for superhero movies and analyzes specific super hero movie cases in detail.It finds that the application of superhero movies to oriental symbols has basically been completed.Misreading and prejudice to the objective and catering to the change.In response to the issue of the application effect of oriental cultural symbols,the focus group discussion method was used to study the effect of such films.It was found that Chinese audiences have different applications for oriental symbols in superhero movies.More movie motives lie in the movie itself.Stories,special effects,and their own entertainment needs.Finally,according to the research results,some effective suggestions were made on the external output and cross-cultural communication of films of the same type in China,including: rejecting the abuse of foreign cultural symbols,strengthening the narrative capabilities of movies,and advocating the universal values of human empathy.
