The opera Song of Youth was adapted from full-length novel with the same title created and written by well-known writer Ms.Yang Mo.The opera was successfully performed in Peking University on September 16 th,2009,which won wide acclaim widespread attention and praise from all walks of life,such as education,art circles and so forth.Furthermore,it has been described as one of the best works since the birth of Chinese opera,especially the reform and opening up.Up to now,there are two versions starred by Jin Man and Dai Yuqiang as well as Chen Xiaoduo and Wang Zenan,mainly scheduled by Opera House of Peking University and China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater.Especially speaking,the figure Lin Daojing's vivid performance has a profound impact on people,which is worth conducting further research.Firstly,the thesis conducts research on characterization of the figure Lin Daojing from image orientation and aesthetics as well as the figure's emotional grasp in the opera based on historical background,cultural background,performance status,opera script as well as creation features of the opera.Besides,the thesis will make a careful analysis of the figure Lin Daojing's emotion from firm belief,unrepentant youth,complex emotion as well as firm choice.Secondly,the thesis will lay emphasis on characterization of the figures as well as use and reflection of coloratura technique in the aria from music texture from triplet,column chord,tremolo,arpeggio,long continuous sound and so forth.The thesis will also analyse Lin Daojing's aria New World from the application of coloratura technique in the aria and new understanding of coloratura aria.In addition,the thesis will make an elaborate analysis of the aria Farewell to My Love from learning inspiration of narrative tune as well as drama conflict of figure image and emotion grasp in the process of singing.Besides,the thesis willprobe into the learning inspiration of narrative tune from language sense,tone,intonation,pronunciation and texture change respectively.And also,the thesis will conduct research on dramatic conflict,emotion grasp in the process of singing and interweaving between two aspects.Finally,the thesis will make a comparison on interpretation of figures characterized by different opera singers between the figure Lin Daojing in Jin Man's version and the figure Lin Daojing in Chen Xiaoduo's version.What's more,the thesis will lay more emphasis on the research of stage practice from reaction of singing technology,adjustment of tone color in different performance styles and how to make a breakthrough in stage performance.The thesis will also make a in-depth thinking and summary from solid foundation of singing,good psychological quality,profound cultural accomplishment and perfect stage practice.The thesis aims to make up for the research vacancy of the figure Lin Daojing's singing characterization in the opera Song of Youth and provide some theoretical reference for better development and promotion of Chinese national opera.
