Textbooks determine the teachers' teaching and students' learning to such a great extent that they play a key role in improving the quality of teaching.As an important part of the teaching content and the main carrier of the implementation of the course,language textbooks play an important role in the study of the students' s language learning.Based on the introduction of Leveled Readers in American primary school language textbook,based on the introduction of the textbook compilation system and curriculum standards in the US,this paper studies the textbook from three dimensions: textbook structure,textbook content and textbook presentation.This paper also analyzes the characteristics of the classification characteristics of the leveled reader's textbook.The main research methods used in the whole paper are literature research and content analysis.There are five chapters in this paper.The first chapter outlines the significance of the research,the object and content of the research and the ideas and methods of the research.The second chapter further clarifies the direction of research through literature review,and explains the theoretical basis of the research from three aspects,including textbook compilation,reading psychology and differentiated teaching.Before the indepth analysis of this set of reading materials,the third chapter introduces the setting of this set of Leveled Readers and its application.The fourth chapter studies the system of Leveled Readers by its structure,content,presentation and classification.Based on the above research,the fifth chapter puts forward corresponding proposals about China's reading textbooks.Leveled Readers in the structure of "subject","reading strategies and skills" dualistic arrangement;in the content of the preparation,selection of genre rich multidisciplinary knowledge,including multicultural content;in the present preparation,chart proportionlarger,structural clues has multiple functions and improve the efficiency of the use of textbooks in the hierarchical organization arrangement;four kinds of gradient grade books.The study found that this textbook mainly adjusts the difficulty of textbooks from three aspects of text difficulty,degree of readmission and difficulty of practice,so as to adapt to the difference of students' reading ability,reflecting a differentiated teaching idea.The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in the study of the classification characteristics of textbooks.The paper uses qualitative description and quantitative statistics to explain how the textbook has four different grades of textbooks.
