The Comparitive Study Of Ethnic Governance In The Northwest Region Of Yuan And Ming Dynasty

The geographical area of northwest China is very broad.It has been a multi-ethnic area since ancient times.The Mongol Empire established a trans-Asian-European-African nation through the large-scale wars.The Yuan empire took some measures to govern the ethnic minorities,which achieved some certain results.After Yuan dynasty the right of ruling returned to the Han people.On the one hand,the Ming dynasty inherited the successful experience of Yuan governance.On the other hand,it summarized some lessons,and then reformed and in created some policies from the Yuan dynasty.This thesis takes the similarities and differences in the national governance of the two dynasties of the Yuan and Ming dynasty as the basic framework,which uses comparative research,literature research and other methods,and combines the theoretical knowledge of ethnology,history and other disciplines.This thesis discusses the national governance policies of the northwestern region during the Yuan and Ming dynasties from multiple perspectives.Comprehensively sort out their similarities and differences and reveal some reasons,which make a review and summary to provide useful clues and inspiration for the current national work.This article consists of three parts: introduction,subject discussion and conclusion.In the introduction,I expounds the research purpose and innovation of this thesis research stutus of domestic and foreign academic circles,the definition of the scope of this study,and the research methods.The main part ofthe dissertation is divided into three chapters.The first chapter analyzes the similarities of ethnic oppression and ancestry in the northwestern region of Yuan and Ming from the political view.It includes the differences in management system and political marriage.The second chapter discusses the similar points of tributary trade,immigration,and station establishment in the northwest region of Yuan and Ming from the economic view.Moreover it includes the differences in business activities,handicrafts,and tea-horse trade.The third chapter discusses the similarities and differences of education and religion in the northwest region of Yuan and Ming from the culture view.In the final conclusion part,we briefly explained the similarities and differences in the national governance in the northwest region between Yuan and Ming dynasty.The end of the article conducted the review,which also served as the conclusion.
