Angela Carter(1940-1992)is a writer who is famous for subverting the traditional patriarchal culture."The Magic Toyshop" is a medium length novel by Angela Carter "The Blood Chamber and Other Stories" is a collection of short stories.In these two novels,Angela used the elements of traditional folktales to translate them into classic stories for contemporary adult reading.In the story,the main activities in place of character image on adolescent girls,the Wild West was a subversive,shaping the role of the father to rewrite,intends to challenge the traditional patriarchal culture,show women's life main force.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part,the introduction.The second part(the first chapter)starting from the arrangement of the characters in the story of the main venue,a detailed analysis of the wild west as the award ceremony ceremony place to help women find their bodies and desires,to eliminate the social character,character to show in the state of nature,behavior and psychology suggests that women are strong individuals.And then began to play an important role in male resistance.The third part(the second chapter)to the story of the lock for adolescent girls details as the foundation,first discusses the unique girl identity anxiety in the traditional patriarchal culture by girls to women to change this transitional stage,followed by further show these girls in the exploration of this aspect of the initiative and in both sexes the relationship between the dominant,and their courage,resourcefulness and determination,the subversion of the traditional patriarchal culture of women shy,passive,submissive and weak image etc.The fourth part(third chapter)starts with the author's arrangement of the role of the father in the story.The father of the girl in the primary family,the role of family fiance,husband,businessman,uncle and other male characters,and Western culture in the highest position of the "father"--the role of God made direct negation,crushing the patriarchal male dominated to create a "dream".The fifth part(the fourth chapter)analyzes Angela's creation on the patriarchal culture centered on patriarchal power,the shaping of the new female image and the far-reaching influence on the British literary creation.The sixth part,the conclusion.
