This is a report based on E-C translation cooperation between Guilin Research Center for Government Digit Dissemination and Culture as a Soft Power and Guangxi Normal University.The author was in charge of translation.The strength of the armed forces is the basic guarantee for the country to achieve safe development.With the changes in the world situation and the continuous improvement of overall national strength,the leaders of the CPC Central Committee of the Chinese new generation attach great importance to strengthening their military capabilities.This translation report is a review on the translation of China Military Organization and Reform written by Anthony H.Cordesman.As the Arleigh A.Burke Chair in Strategy at CSIS,Anthony H.Cordesman described and analyzed China's military organization and reform from the perspective of the Westerner.On the guidance of Jin Di's theory of equivalent effect,this report had analyzed,interpreted and summarized the translation of the source text from the lexical,syntactic,and textual level.This translation report includes five chapters,the first chapter is the description of the project,the second chapter presents the translation preparations and the others relating to the source text,the third chapter introduces the major contents of Jin Di's theory of equivalent effect,the fourth chapter is about the discussion of case analysis,and the last chapter is the conclusion of the report.The main purpose of this report is to help us acquire the foreigner's views of the structure of China military organizations and the military reform,provide valuable reference for the relevant researchers and translators who intend to translate similar materials.
