With the comprehensive advancement of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,China's film industry has shifted from Shanghai,Nanjing and other places to inland areas in the central and western regions.During this period,Chongqing was upgraded from a city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan to China's wartime interim capital,and it has become China's political,economic,and cultural center.Cultural and cultural groups,cultural institutions,and cultural consumer groups gather in Chongqing,making Chongqing's cultural consumer demand and spending power grow rapidly,giving birth to many cultural consumption spaces.As a typical cultural consumption space,cinema has become the new darling of cultural consumption space under such a historical background.As one of the most advanced and most luxurious cinemas in Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War period,Cathay Theatre is typical in the wartime special cultural context with its operating conditions,business strategies,and anti-building publicity.The second chapter of this article sorts out the location,layout and change of Chongqing cinema theater during the Anti-Japanese War,and overall grasps the overall situation of the Chongqing cinema theater in this period.At the same time,this chapter also focuses on the construction process of the Cathay Theatre and the changes of the operators,and leads to the important operator of the Cathay Grand Theatre Xia Yunhu.The second chapter focuses on the advertising of Cathay Pacific Theatres,focusing on the analysis of advertising and newspaper advertisements.In the section on supporting advertisements,the discovery of performance special issues is particularly important.This has changed to some extent.In the past,the form of placement of supplementary advertising.The investment in newspaper advertising focuses on the form and style of delivery.Finally,it focuses on the investment of cinemas in advertising,which is closely related to the revenue of cinemas and is one of the important factors that affect cinema revenue.The third chapter begins with movie screenings,focusing on screenings of Cathay Theatre in terms of frequency,ticket price,film output,film sources,and audience groups.From these historical materials,Xia Yunhu's business thinking is summed up,and Cathay Grand Theatre is spy on.The business model,combined with the special social and historical background during the War of Resistance against Japan,tried to restore the true state of survival of the Cathay Theatre during the War of Resistance against Japan to seek glimpses of Cathay's big theaters with soaring prices,high odds,and rising competition.How to maintain the cinema's continuous operation in the environment and how to break through smoothly.The above discussion is all about the landscape under the background of wartime.As a wartime cultural landscape,cinema under the background of wartime is increasingly becoming a closely related to national politics,national will,ideology and cultural consumer psychology.The special space,in this spatial form,combines the multiple functions of recreation and cultural space construction,urban cultural transformation,and anti-building propaganda into a single integrated social and cultural space,presenting the complexities of wartime culture particularity.Although the study focused on the time axis of the study at the Cathay Grand Theatre until 1945,it reinvented the state of affairs of Cathay Pacific after 1940.The depiction and brief description before 1940 caused the statement to be inaccurate due to limited data.Not enough place.However,this did not hinder the outstanding contribution of the Cathay Theatre during the War of Resistance.As the best and largest cinema in Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War period,its business strategy is very representative,and more importantly,because it was one of the main positions of “movie propaganda” during the War of Resistance,Cathay Pacific took the lead in inspiring people and intellectuals.The promotion of new entertainment and other important contributions made significant contributions.The exploration of its living conditions is conducive to understanding what kind of interaction the cinema has with the social life in Chongqing as a typical cultural consumption space in this period,the spread space of Western culture,the propaganda space for anti-Japanese salvation,and the leading space for modern entertainment.It is of great value to interpret the changes of urban life in a special context and the public's transformation of the needs of popular culture.
