Excellent traditional culture is the crystallization of the wisdom of the Chinese nation and the foundation of the Chinese nation's independence from the world's nations.Under the current new situation,the inheritance and development of excellent traditional culture is not only the mission of the nation,but also the necessity of the times.In recent years,the inheritance and development of excellent traditional culture has been incorporated into the national strategy.It has been issued by the Ministry of Education as “Guidelines for the Improvement of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Education” and issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council as “Opinions on Implementing the Inheritance and Development Project of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture”.Both documents have put forward specific requirements for the inheritance of excellent traditional culture in colleges and universities,especially emphasizing the role of classroom teaching as the main channel.However,the current excellent traditional culture education of colleges and universities is quite weak,and it is difficult to satisfy the students' desires,interests and levels to learn.The contradiction between the inadequate construction of excellent traditional culture courses and the needs of students has begun to appear.Based on the understanding of the current situation and excellent traditional culture education,this study uses an empirical investigation method combining text analysis and interviews,analyzes the current status of 187 excellent traditional culture courses in10 colleges and universities and summarizes the problems and causes.And on the basis of the causes,this paper explores the ways and strategies for the construction of excellent traditional cultural curriculum system in colleges and universities,so as to provide references for upgrading the excellent traditional cultural curriculum system in colleges and universities.The study is divided into three parts:Firstly,interpret the relationship between the excellent traditional Chinese culture and the curriculum system.Excellent traditional culture is the crystallization of thewisdom of the Chinese nation.Its content is extensive and profound,and it plays an important role in enlightening wisdom and educating the nation.The schools represented by the three major cultures of Confucianism,Buddhism,and Taoism are the source of Chinese traditional philosophical wisdom.Rich and colorful cultural expressions such as writing,art,and religion profoundly demonstrate the philosophical thinking,the way of thinking,and ethics of the Chinese nation.The study believes that the establishment of an excellent traditional culture curriculum is particularly necessary and feasible.Excellent traditional culture courses are a solid foundation for enhancing the country ' s soft power and an inevitable choice for the function of colleges and universities.From the perspective of supply and demand,colleges and universities have corresponding disciplines,and have solid disciplinary protection to offer excellent traditional culture courses.Meanwhile college students have a strong desire to learn from excellent traditional culture,and traditional culture courses have the natural attraction to college students.Secondly,through the empirical investigation,the author analyzes the existing problems and causes of the target development,content selection,specific implementation and evaluation criteria for excellent traditional culture courses at colleges and universities.The survey found that the main problems are reflected in the following: the incomplete description of the course objectives and the unreasonable planning of the content;the lack of classical,contemporary,and systematic curriculum content;the insufficient number of courses,lack of teachers and single methods in the curriculum implementation;the disconnection of evaluation-goals and single mode in curriculum evaluation.The main reasons for these problems are: lack of in-depth understanding of the importance of the construction and improvement of excellent traditional culture courses in colleges and universities;the insufficient of teachers 'ability and teaching level,and the relatively weakness of cultural accumulation;the unhealthy influence to students' thought from multiple values and bad social atmosphere,etc..Finally,propose the way to optimize the construction of the excellent traditional culture curriculum system.The excellent traditional culture curriculum system should be a comprehensive system consisting of a public compulsory course and multiple elective courses.In terms of curriculum objectives,we should build a structured and purposeful system based on the purpose of excellent traditional culture education.In terms of the selection of curriculum content,the following aspects should be taken intoaccount: the excellent traditional cultural content system,the basic content of the Chinese excellent traditional culture education and the implementation content of the excellent traditional culture development project.In terms of course implementation,the teachers of carrying out the traditional culture course teaching should include the following two categories: the professional teachers with profound traditional cultural heritage and the teachers or non-teachers with interdisciplinary background.In terms of the curriculum evaluation,the goal orientation,process orientation and development orientation should be organically combined.Based on the interpretation of the rational orientation of the construction of excellent traditional culture courses,the study puts forward a practice path to optimize the construction of excellent traditional culture curriculum system in order to draw lessons from it.
