This article studies the comparison between Liu Zhenyun's novel I Am Not Madame Bovary and its movie of the same name.By trying to extract the intrinsic link between the two different media of literature and film,it provides Chinese filmmakers with thoughts and references to create more excellent realist works.This article is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The body is divided into three chapters.In the introduction part,Liu Zhenyun and FengXiaogang and I Am Not Madame Bovary related research status are combed from the related researches of Liu Zhenyun and FengXiaogang,the joint research of the two,and the related research I Am Not Madame Bovary,and the realistic creation and research development trend of literature and film.The relationship between Liu Zhenyun and FengXiaogang is also a marriage between literature and film.I Am Not Madame Bovary is the model for a successful cooperation between the two.The comparative study of fiction and film is also to find out the intrinsic relationship between these two different media,in the hope of providing new ideas for the adaptation of novels.In the first chapter,the article presents the film's adaptation of the original work from the artistic conception,narrative as well as narrator,and the weakening of contradictions and conflicts.In the second chapter,by the comparison between the movie and the fiction on the protagonist image,the characterization of other figures and the description of the story behind Li Xuelian's complaint,the character of the work is analyzed.In the third chapter,it explores the new heights of reality in novels and movies.Concretely,the new structure to present reality is adopted in novel,while the rectangular frame to present reality is applied in movie.Moreover,the creator's intervention in the subject of reality influences how well the work presents the reality.The conclusion part summarizes the full text on the one hand,and further points out the basis and significance of the successful cooperation between Liu Zhenyun and FengXiaogang,it highlights Liu Zhenyun and FengXiaogang's attitude and thinking on life and living.On the other hand,it draws on the cooperation experience between Liu Zhenyun and FengXiaogang to provide references for filmmakers to complete the transition from novels to movies,and the marriage of literature between film better.
