Recently,with the continuous speed development of Chinese economy,a large number of overseas students have been attracted to study in China.Regional culture has brought about an inevitable impact on the overseas students.This paper attempts to analyze the Lingnan culture in Cantonese,diet and customs and other factors on the influence of students,in order to obtain the general rule and cross cultural adaptation strategies for future students in Guangzhou to provide positive measures.This paper takes Lingnan culture as the research background,takes the Cantonese of Overseas students in Guangzhou as the research subject,and takes the Chinese students and non-Chinese students in Guangzhou as the research object,taking the Cantonese,diet and custom of Lingnan as the starting point,And to cross-cultural adaptation theory as the guide,put forward to accelerate the Guangzhou area Lingnan culture adaptation strategy.In this paper,questionnaire survey,interview and comparative analysis are used,the survey results can be divided into three parts: Cantonese,Lingnan cultural factors affecting overseas students and cross-cultural adaptation.The study found that:(1)Cantonese have different effects on Chinese language learning for Chinese and non-Chinese students.The positive influence of Cantonese on Chinese students is greater than the negative influence,while the negative influence on non-Chinese students is greater than the positive influence;(2)In the Lingnan cultural factors that affect the overseas students,the overseas students have a shallow understanding of the dietary culture in the Lingnan area,so there is no obvious impact on them.And in terms of customs,they have a subtle influence on the students;(3)in cross-cultural adaptation,only through the internal and external factors of cross-cultural adaptation can the pace of individual cross-cultural adaptation be accelerated.
