In the calligraphic community of the early Qing Dynasty,Zheng Fu,as a scholar of visiting tablets, was famous for his official script and had a profound influence on the official script of the Qing Dynasty.Academic circles have made a deep research on his visit to tablets and its influence on later generations.Based on the extensive collection of historical documents and the compilation of the works handed down, and combined with the family and social background, this paper combs Zheng’s thought of facsimileing the ancient works, and further studies Zheng’s practice of official script. It is found that most of the contents of Zheng’s works of official script are poems that embody his reclusive thought, and there is a new understanding of the time division of his style. What’s more,on the basis of the existing achievements, this paper summarizes the creativity of Zheng’s official script in detail. As a successful example devoted exclusively to official script in the history of ancient calligraphy,Zheng’s propositions of facsimileing the ancient works and practices provided us with enlightenment on the problems encountered in the study of official script today.
