In the 1990 s,on the basis of the interrelationship between language and culture,with the rise of human-centered paradigm,the object of study of linguistics shifted from linguistic objects to subjects,resulting in linguistic culturology.As the basic cultural unit of linguistic culturology,concept has been widely studied by scholars from various countries.Conceptual analysis is to explore the national spirit in national cultural memory through studying the etymology of conceptual word,historically evolved hierarchical meanings,and practical level meanings,so as to reveal the spiritual world and mental characteristics of the nation.As an important part of the Russian national cultural conception,Birch is an important factor in determining the Russian national world outlook and values.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out a specific and complete study of the conceptual word“birch” from the perspective of linguistic culturology.From the perspective of linguistic culturology,this thesis will use concept theory as the basis,use the conceptual analysis method,and use some important dictionaries,as well as Russian traditional customs,folk omens,proverbs,sayings,riddles,and legends as the corpus,in order to interpret the content and characteristics of the conceptual word “birch” with diachronic and synchronic Combining,dynamic and multidimensional methods.Among them,the focus is on language and cultural semantic analysis of the conceptual word “birch”,clarifying its etymology and dictionary definition,studying its word formation ability,explaining its combination and collocation characteristics,and analyzing and conceptual word “birch” in the Russian folk customs,folk omens,proverbs,idioms,riddles,and legends.This study has certain theoretical and practical significance.Through careful analysis and study of the characteristics and meanings of the conceptual word“birch”,it helps to reveal the deep cultural essence and special spirit of the Russian nation,and to enrich the study of the Russia national cultural conceptual word“birch”,and also provides a theoretical basis and methodological reference for the study of other conceptual words to a certain degree.In addition,this study has certain practical significance in terms of Russian language teaching,translation,lexicography and cross-cultural communication.
