Confucian Loyalty And Tolerance And Its Contemporary Value

The Confucian loyalty and tolerance plays an important role in the Confucian ethics theory.It is the basic ethical principle of the Confucian relationship between dealing with interpersonal relationships and between human and nature.While global economic integration has brought about the common development of the world economy,it has also emerged a series of global issues.As a traditional Chinese ethical principle,the principle of loyalty and tolerance still has important guiding and reference functions in dealing with the contradictions between people in today's world and easing the conflicts between man and nature.At the same time,China ' s contemporary development policy is also inseparable from the theoretical support of traditional Chinese culture.It also abandons the path of loyalty,and combines it with the characteristics of the era,which can provide a theoretical foundation for contemporary development concepts.This paper uses the methods of logical and historical unification,combination of exegesis and interpretation,and comparative research.At the same time,with reference to a large number of historical documents,it systematically discusses and comprehensively analyzes the historical orientation,modern transformation,and contemporary values of loyalty and tolerance.First of all,it examines the origin,formation,and development of the loyalty and tolerance,fully reveals its basic connotations,and elaborates on the status of loyalty and deportment in Confucianism.Secondly,using the Marxist perspective to evaluate the loyalty and tolerance,compare the loyalty and tolerance with Western moral “golden rules”,find the universal value of the loyalty and tolerance,and then reveal its historical limitations and clarify its modern transformation.On the basis of this,it explores the transformation path of Confucian loyalty and tolerance and its basic characteristics after transformation.Finally,this article starts from contemporary practice and discards the principle of loyalty and tolerance.It elaborates on the theoretical reference of China's development policy,such as the construction of contemporary Chinese morality,the construction of ecological civilization,the construction of a harmonious society,and the practice of core values.In addition,the scope of application of loyalty and tolerance isextended to international and global.It is pointed out that the harmonious thinking contained in the path of loyalty and understanding helps the construction of a harmonious world and promotes the construction of the “One Belt and One Road”.There are five points in this article's creativity and characteristics: Firstly,the specific connotation of the loyalty and tolerance is explained more comprehensively,the extended meaning of the path of loyalty and deprivation is explored,and the deficiency of previous research in this direction is compensated.Second,it supplements the position of loyalty and deportment in the Confucian doctrine and treats the loyalty and tolerance as the manifestation of Confucian “ benevolence ”.Third,to explore the universal value of loyalty and tolerance and to comment on the historical limitations of loyalty and deference in three aspects.Compared with similar domestic research,the analysis is more detailed.Fourth,to overcome the historical limitations of the loyalty and tolerance and to modernize the loyalty and tolerance and give it modern features to adapt it to the current social development model.Fifth,give full play to the internal rationality and positive significance of the loyalty and tolerance,and combine organically with contemporary development concepts to lay the ideological foundation for China's contemporary development policy.
