Research On Space Extension Of Easel Painting

The space extension of easel painting begins with Picasso's application of collage technique.In the diversification of art media,the one-dimensional nature is no longer the only spatial attribute of easel painting.Easel painting extends to space through the way of combining and self changing,and obtains new vision,concept,mode of communication and new expressive ability and forming ability.The discussed of the spatial extension in this paper is signified,which the beginning to spread to Cubism collage,after painting special form features of modern and contemporary arts.Other types of traditional paintings that do not belong to easel painting,such as murals,altars,paintings and screens,are outside the scope of the discussion.At the same time,space extension is more and more accompanied by the development of easel painting.This paper combs and studies the general form of this phenomenon by tracing the source first and then classifying it.This paper mainly works on the part of the art genre or mature artists are analyzed,so as to study the classification and theory of "general spatial extension",finally discuss the future direction of the creation of personal creation.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter explains the concept of space extension in easel painting,and also expounds the theoretical clues and the purpose and significance of the research topic in modern art and post-modern art.The second chapter traces the source of space extending from easel painting in art history,and combines the analysis of several schools and representative artists,leads to the discussion of the space extending from easel painting.The third chapter analyzes the two types of space extension in easel painting: medium extension and structure extension.Based on two major types,combining the case of artists and works to discuss the subdivision.The medium extension refers to the space extension produced by the combination of easel painting and integrated media,which is the earliest and the most widely used form of space extension on easel painting.It mainly embodies the application of collage in easel painting and the stereoscopic relief of integrated material painting.Extension of structure refers to the form of work on which easel painting changes its structure or forms a combined structure with other media in space.This form of extension greatly expanded the sense of form on the easel painting and even gave it the sculptural function of space,mainly embodied in the combination and transmutation of easel painting in space,and the painting installation.The fourth chapter first combs and summarizes the individual creation,and then makes a tentative idea of the graduation creation.The fifth chapter,on the basis of summarizing the full text,makes an objective analysis of the extension of space to easel painting,and explains its advantages and limitations.
