Comparative Study On The Creation Of Ecological Documentary In China And Britain

Since the industrial revolution,human being has increased the use of natural resources and development efforts.Accumulated requests are no different than exhausting fish.Today,more and more ecological and environmental issues are gradually exposed.The global warming,biodiversity decline,and smog shrouded in most parts of China are all realistic illustrations.It is against this background that the protection and promotion of the ecology has become hot issues appealing people's attention,and the documentary has been used as the true means of recording images.The ecological documentary focuses on environmental issues and calls for people's attention to ecological protection by showing the relationship between man and nature.However,as a sub-category of documentaries,the ecological documentaries started earlier in foreign countries and rarely in China.This article attempts to combine theories of ecology,culture philosophy,filmology,narratology,and other related disciplines.Through horizontal comparative studies,we explore the similarities and differences between China and the United Kingdom in the creation of ecological documentaries.The purpose of comparison is not to distinguish one from the other but to seek western learning,sum up the excellent experience of the West,to improve the creation theory of our country's ecological documentaries,and to increase our cultural confidence.The full text is analyzed from five parts.The first part is the research summary of the topic.It combs and introduces the research significance,creativities and research status.The second part is the summary and development of the study of the ecological documentary.Based on the concept definition of the ecological documentary,the development process and the division of the creative community in the world are analyzed.The third part is the comparative analysis of creation concept.Through the case studies of typical ecological documentaries,the author summarizes the difference between the two creation concept.The fourth part is a comparative analysis of specific creation methods,including narrative strategies and audio-visual language.It tries to extract the creation points from specific films.In the fifth part,aiming at the above analysis,we return to the creation of the Chinese ecological documentary and sort out the current situation and existing problems,and put forward reasonable suggestions for the creation of the Chinese ecological documentary.
