| Films about the Zang Minzu are the most characteristic and vital works of art in Chinese films,the uniqueness of which decides their huge impact in constructing mainstream discourse.In this paper,defines films about the Zang Minzu as feature films which are based on Tibetan region and reflect the culture,life and history.This paper use 71 films about the Zang Minzu produced by domestic film-maker since the foundation of People’s Republic of China as study samples.According to the discourse changes and social context of the films about the Zang Minzu,this study teases out those films since the foundation of People’s Republic of China,dividing them into 5 phases : “17years” period,the Culture Revolution Period,period of reform and opening up,marketization period and new era.Through the study of the diachronic and synchronic of the text at different stages,the paper reveals the path and context of the discourse transmutation of Chinese films about the Zang Minzu and explores its development law.In general,The changing features are changes from grand theme to microcosmic theme,from single and narrow theme to global and international theme.The remaining feature is the solidarity.The intertextuality implying theme is the bottom line of creation.The changes of narrating style of films about the Zang Minzu,including modeled narration--exploratory narration--strangeness narration--national discourse narration.The change of discourse theme and narrative style is closely related to the context of Chinese social change.From the perspective of discourse practice and social practice,there are still many problems in Chinese films about the Zang Minzu : simple class struggle view,market-only theory and business view,narrow national discourse,narrative view and so on.In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the discourse construction of Chinese films about the Zang Minzu has new requirements,new opportunities and new environment.The discourse construction of Chinese films about the Zang Minzu has new direction: In terms of discourse theme,constructing unity in diversity of Chinese national self-identity discourse,theme discourse,opening up discourse and Zang Minzu culture inheritance discourse.In terms of discourse manifestation construction,those films should use proximity expression method surpassing culture discount,use strangeness expression method tending culture gain,use national discourse narration inheriting excellent culture,use international narration connecting global technique trend.Only by doing so,can Chinese films about the Zang Minzu be adapted to the demand of era and country,preparing the brand new development. |
