High school English teaching has an important influence on students' English learning.As we all know,learning motivation is a very important factor influencing the effectiveness of foreign language learning,and even plays a decisive role.According to previous studies,there are two factors that affect learners' motivation for language learning.They are internal motivation and external motivation.Among many factors,teacher discourse is an important factor that affects students' learning motivation.While embodying the classroom interaction between students and teachers,it is still imperceptibly affecting the output and input of students' language.At present,there are many researches on the factors that affect students' learning motivation.However,there are few researches on the factors that influence teachers' feedback.The academic community has not paid enough attention to it.This paper starts with the relationship between teacher feedback and students' motivation of learning English,discusses how teacher feedback can influence the motivation of students' English learning,and provides effective measures to help teachers use appropriate feedback in classroom teaching,and ultimately motivate students' learning motivation.To improve teaching effectiveness.This article takes the high school English classroom teaching as the research background,and takes more than 240 high school sophomores in the sixth middle school of Harbin C ity and two English teachers of the grade as the research object,and combines the research methods of qualitative research and quantitative research to clarify the research issues.Through the preparation of questionnaires,the status of the students in the classroom observations,teachers in the classroom discourse feedback and other ways to investigate the impact of students' extrinsic motivation in English learning.Through this research,it is proved that teacher feedback in class has a very important influence on students' English learning.Positive and healthy feedback on classroom discourse can enhance students' interest in learning English.Active and active learning of students can create a healthy learning.surroundings.By observing in the classroom,we found that teachers' feedback on classroom discourse is diverse.Whether or not students' recognition of teachers' teaching methods is also a very important factor affecting teacher feedback.For this reason,this article puts forward some suggestions that can effectively improve the feedback of teacher's classroom discourse.It is hoped that this will further stimulate students' motivation in learning English and improve their overall English proficiency.Through this study,it can be found that teacher's classroom discourse feedback has a profound influence on students' extrinsic motivation in English learning.The positive teachers' verbal feedback can promote students' interest in learning English,and improve students' activeness and initiative in English learning.Through classroom observation,it is found that in the current high school English classroom teaching,the feedback methods of teachers have a variety of characteristics.And whether students' preferences for teacher feedback are consistent is also an important factor that affects the quality of teachers' feedback.According to the findings of the study,this thesis proposes a number of strategies to help teachers improve classroom feedback,hoping to improve students' motivation for English learning.
