More and more people focus English learning on English communication skills,because the change of people's concept of English.As a major component of evaluating students' English,English Writing play an important role in English communication.In high school,writing skill is the most difficult to develop in the four basic skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing.How to improve students' English writing skill is a crucial issue for English teachers.Teachers' feedback is an indispensable part of English writing teaching and is considered to improve students' English writing skills.However,what kind of feedback method can be used to improve students' English writing ability more effectively.Different researchers have different conclusions.In high school English teaching,recasts and metalinguistic feedback are more feedback methods used by teachers,and are frequently used by the authors.This article mainly conducts empirical research on the application of recasts and meta-language feedback in high school English writing teaching,and explores its influence on senior high school students' English writing.This article takes all the classmates of class 17 and 18 in the third middle school of Harbin as the research object.The main survey methods are questionnaire survey,interview and test method.This study proposes the following three questions:(1)How high school students think of teacher's feedback of English writing.(2)What the effect of recasts and metalinguistic Feedback on senior high school students' English writing.(3)Whether the influence of recasts and metalinguistic feedback to senior high school students' English writing can be maintained.To explore the above questions,the author divides the students of class 17 and 18from the third middle school of Harbin into four groups.Group A: According to actual condition,using recasts or metalinguistic feedback;Group B: Dose not use feedback.The study draws the following conclusion:(1)Students are eager to get written feedback from teachers,but many teachers ignore written feedback.(2)The recasts and metalinguistic feedback can improve students' English writing interest and level.(3)The recasts and metalinguistic feedback can maintain the influence on senior high school students' English writing.The study has enriched the existing teachers' written feedback research and provided guidance for the majority of middle school English teachers with reference value.
