With the gradual progress and development of the education informatization in our country,the new curriculum reform has been promoted rapidly.English classes have become one of the most important courses in basic education in primary schools.At present,English curriculum reform in China emphasizes the combination of modern educational technology and students’ English learning,and lays stress on training students’ interest in learning English and improving students’ autonomous learning ability.However,from the current teaching of primary English in China,there are still many problems in the application of modern educational technology.As a new educational technology,micro lesson is very rich in expression form and is strong in knowledge.It has been recognized by many English teachers and has been applied in English teaching.In this research,the author took students from two Grade Six classes in a primary school in Shijiazhuang,Hebei Province as the research object,and divided them into two groups: the experimental class and the control class.Then from Ding Yongxiang’s survey on students’ English learning interest,we surveyed students’ interest towards English learning before the experiment and after the experiment.We used English test to test the students’ English achievement before the experiment and after the experiment.At the same time the paper also used interviews.We investigated students’ acceptance of micro lesson,and analyzed the effect of micro lesson on English teaching in primary school.In the traditional teaching class,we used the conventional English teaching mode and in the micro lesson class we used the micro lesson teaching.The teaching experiment lasted for 4 months.Then,the specific experimental results were given in this paper.The results show that the micro lesson can enhance students’ interest and improve their English achievement in learning English.The micro lesson in primary school English class stimulate students’ interest in English learning.Students have more opportunities and time for independent learning,inquiry learning,so they really become the subject of study.Thus it enrich the primary school English teaching mode,and improve the efficiency of English teaching.As a result,students’ English achievement are improved.But we should notice that when using the micro lesson teaching,we should proceed from the actual situation of students,to explore the micro lesson in the design and application of primary school English teaching,which can find a better way of applying the advanced curriculum resources.It should be clear what the advantages and disadvantages of micro lesson in primary school English teaching will bring to students’ English learning,so as to find out the best way to make micro lesson better applied to primary school English teaching.
