Investigation And Study On Shadow Play In Laoting

Laoting County,located in the east of Hebei Province,was belong to Luanzhou until 1723 and directly governed by Yonping mansion since 1736.It was belong to Zhili province in 1912.The Zhili province was chanced to Hebei province In 1928.At the same time,Laoting County was directly governed by Hebei province.In the history,Laoting shadow play was also called as Launzhou shadow play,Tangshan shadow play and Jidong shadow play.Laoting shadow play is one of the important types of Chinese drama and plays an important role in the development of opera.Laoting shadow play has its own distinctive characteristics and important influence in the development of Chinese opera culture.With the advent of the new media era,it also faces a lot of problems,and need urgent attention and in-depth study.This paper about study of Laoting shadow play is divided into five parts.The first part is to explore the origin and development of Laoting shadow play,and explore its historical origin and influence of social environment on Laoting shadow play;the second part,through study on Laoting shadow play,is to show unique charm and artistic value of Laoting shadow play in aspects of shadow volume,shadow words,singing way and puppet designs;the third part,through comparison of Laoting shadow play and Shanxi shadow play in aspects of script and art,is to show the influence of different regional cultures on repertoire and puppet designs;the fourth part,through on-site investigation on Laoting shadow play troupe,to introduce the organization and operation of Laoting shadow play troupe;the fifth part,through study on current status and development prospects of Laoting shadow play,is to show development status of Laoting shadow play and to discuss its development way.This paper implements analysis and rethinking from Laoting shadow play troupe so that people can understand the play repertoire,singing skills,bar control skills,puppet carving and shadow play inheritance to expect protection for the shadow play and combination between Laoting shadow play and modern technology to develop a new form of art that can adapt the modern life.We hope people can well know the situation of the whole troupe and concern about its value to get better inheritance.It is of important reference value to carry forward Chinese traditional opera culture.
