Teaching resources are the elements of forming the teaching activity and necessary premise of implementing teaching activity.In the activity of school education,in order to achieve the teaching goal,solve teaching difficult and key points and optimize the teaching activity around the development of teaching activity,teaching resources are the sum of all teaching elements that are involved in improving the quality of teaching activity and can be fully used.As the basic premise and condition of supporting teaching activities,teaching resources gradually become a new field and come into the academic field of researchers.With the development of society and the reform of classroom teaching,various teaching resources are needed to ensure the effective teaching.The study of teaching resources lacks theory and also lacks the practice of class teaching.Theoretically,teachers cannot understand the concept of teaching resources,and teachers don't have a clear understanding about teaching resources and teachers cannot employ teaching resources around them.In practice,teaching resources wouldn't release functions in the classroom teaching because teachers continually regard the textbook as the only resources.Perfect teaching activities and classroom activities need various resources to collaborate.Therefore,research on the use of teaching resources helps teachers to improve quality of teaching activity.It is important to help to clarify the way of teaching practice and help to discuss ways of the students' learning style,strengthen teachers' teaching ability and teaching skills,enhance teachers' awareness of teaching resources.Research on the use of teaching resources by middle school teachers can help expand the academic field of teaching theory research,form a theoretical framework for the study of teaching resources and improve the present situation of “lack of practice” in teaching theory.Through the methods of questionnaire and classroom observation,this research attempts to understand the present situation of using teaching resources by the English teachers in middle school in terms of the understanding,awareness and ability,and discuss the difference of using teaching resources by different types of English teachers in theirawareness,understanding and ability in middle school.In this way can we hope to gain the attention to teaching resources,the use of present situation,and bring forward implications of use of teaching resources.As the understanding of teaching resources,teachers don't have a clear understanding of teaching resources.As the awareness,teachers have a whole better awareness of teaching resources and they can realize the diversity and openness characteristics of teaching resources,but the higher of professional title of teachers have,the stronger the awareness of teaching resources will be.However,they don't emphasize the resources allocation.As the ability of teaching resources,teachers have the whole better ability,however,they ignore the importance of teaching evaluation of education reform,school and local reform,this may not improve the ability of using teaching resources.The optimization of teaching resources is the foundation and premise of improving teaching activities and classroom activities.Teachers are regarded as the main body of employing teaching resources.First,teacher should change and establish their concept.Second,no matter what kind of teaching resources exist,teachers should strengthen their awareness of employing teaching resources,pay attention to the teaching resources around life,heighten the ability,master the potential value and should not waste the teaching resources.
