Investigation And Research On Funeral And Burial Music In Southern Shanxi

Funeral promotion music in southern Shanxi is an important part of folk culture and art in this area.The purpose of studying funeral and advocacy music in rural areas in this area is to map out the historical status and existence value of funeral advocacy music in the whole southern Shanxi region.In order to stimulate the modern society and the young people to pay attention to the traditional folk culture and art,this paper provides the written basic data for the study of funeral and advocating music in Shanxi and southern Shanxi.In the course of field investigation,the author learned through an interview with Shangguo Township the plight of the old artists,so that most of the artists changed careers in other industries,and the inheritance of the promotion of music also faced great challenges.In view of this situation,the author gives some suggestions,hoping to provide reference value for the inheritance and development of funeral and advocacy music in southern Shanxi.For the study of traditional music in southern Shanxi,most scholars focus on opera and gongs and drums in the region,such as Ruicheng County Line cavity,Hedong Daoqing,Wan Rong Flower Drum,Jiangzhou Drum,Power and Prestige Gones,etc.But there is little literature on funeral advocacy in the region.The funeral preaching music studied in this paper is not only the closest to the people undefineds daily life,but also the most familiar and widely distributed kind of music.For a long time,funeral preaching music has permeated the lives of the people of southern Shanxi along with funeral rites and customs.After the passage of time and the influence of foreign music,funeral preaching music still exists today.Enough to prove that it has a special significance and value of existence.Through field investigation,interview and participation in music activities,this paper has obtained the truest first-hand information,and has sought to be able to do further research from a professional point of view.As far as possible for the southern Shanxi funeral advocacy music heritage and protection to give their own efforts,so that funeral advocacy music in Shanxi traditional music category occupies a place,filling in the field of traditional music in Shanxi Province funeral advocacy music blank.In this paper,the author takes the funeral promotion music of Shangguo Township inYuncheng City,Shanxi Province as the research object,and carries on the field investigation to the funeral ceremony in this area on the basis of the related literature.This paper analyzes and studies the living background,music form,function characteristics and inheritance and development of preaching music in funeral ceremony with the perspective of folklore and the research method of ethnomusicology.At the same time,it collects and arranges the basic composition,the way of inheritance,the repertoire and the arrangement of musical instruments of the trumpeting music class.According to the results obtained from the field investigation,it is true and detailed.The objective research on the funeral ceremony and funeral preaching music in this area is expected to play a certain reference value to readers.
