Comparative Study On Rousseau And Chagall Painting Style

The French artist henri Rousseau and the Russian artist mark chagall had remarkable achievements in the history of western painting.Although they were almost half a century apart,they showed some common characteristics on the way of the pursuit of art.They use the simple technique and the pure emotion,with the unique imagination to create a mysterious dreamlike painting world for us.In this paper,through the comparative analysis of Rousseau and chagall painting,to learn the origin of the mysterious atmosphere and the fun of children in their paintings,and explore the inspiration and influence of this style of painting for my artistic creation.In this paper,the author makes an in-depth analysis of the similarities and differences between Rousseau and chagall by using the literature research method,comparative research method and language research method.First of all,briefly describes the characteristics of Rousseau and chagall painting,secondly,through concrete painting contrast analysis the differences between Rousseau and chagall painting,found hidden in common in their paintings.and finally,discussed the influence of Rousseau and chagall artistic style and inspiration for my painting creation.Rousseau and chagall loves painting all his life,they use pure feelings observe things,they draw in simple ways,they embody the pure mind in the picture,and this is our pure of the meaning of study and research for Rousseau and chagall painting.Explore the inspiration and significance of Rousseau and chagall's artistic style to the painting creation,and also provide some theoretical help for my painting creation in the future.
