Probing Into Female Education In Tang Dynasty With Tai Ping Guang Ji

During the tang dynasty,the society was unprecedentedly prosperous,and the country's politics,economy,culture and so on were developed,and great achievements were made.In tang dynasty,the society was open,various elements and cultures coexisted,and the feudalism was relatively loose in restraining women.Therefore,women in tang dynasty had more personal freedom and relatively independent personality consciousness,enjoyed more rights in the society,and improved their status in the family.In such a social environment,women's education has been valued and developed.The study of women's education in the tang dynasty is conducive to grasping the development and evolution of women's education,and provides reference for solving problems in the development process of modern women's education.Taiping Guangji is a collection of official books compiled by li fang and other 13 people in the early song dynasty.There are more than 600 chapters about women in the Taiping Guangji,among which there are not only records about the education performance of female officials and aristocrats,but also the descriptions about the female concubines and the female education level in the official history.The inequality of social status determines the imbalance of women's education.By combing and analyzing the female education chapters of the tang dynasty in Taiping Guangji,the identities of the women recorded in the book are divided,so as to draw the differences in the education of the female officials and nobles,female maidservants and famous prostitutes.During the tang dynasty,Buddhism and Taoism prevailed,and women in the tang dynasty were influenced by family members.As early as the han dynasty,Confucian ethics had already been formed.Therefore,women in the tang dynasty should not only learn the subset of Confucian classics and history,but also receive chastity education.Before the early tang dynasty,due to the political unrest and social unrest,the prevalence of Buddhism and Taoism,and the impact of Minority customs,the cultural development of the south and the north were different.Female education in the tang dynasty was mainly through familyeducation,which restrained female education and influenced the family.They were not only educated but also the inheritors of education.
