Family resilience is described as an capacity,so that the family is able to survive difficult times and help the member of family access to good developmental.Family resilience not only helps to protect children from the adverse effects of the family environment,also conducive to the cultivation of children's positive psychological quality.For the left-behind children in rural areas,how to improve the level of children's family resilience in the challenging conditions which caused by their parents' long-term absence.Furthermore,for rural left-behind children systematic study on the components of their family resilience,development status and the protective mechanism of the sense of hope is missing.In view of this,based on Froma Walsh's family resilience theory,we were conducted depth interviews with 14 left-behind children and their intergenerational guardians.Through interviews,left-behind children's family adversity and their resilience factors has been identified.On that basis,revise of rural left-behind children family resilience scale,to explore the chain mediating effects of family resilience and hope.Qualitative research found,the disadvantages faced by families of left-behind children in rural areas include:poverty,the long-time seperation between parents and children,grandparents limited care arrangements,natural disaster,family accident,personal health crises and mental illness and so on.(1)In addition to Walsh's family resilience theory(positive outlook,family organizational patterns,communication and problem solving,et al.),there are also some protect factors help the families rebound from adversity and stress which caused by parents going out,at the same time promote children to grow healthily.These protective factors including,intergenerational household cohabitation,positive mental attitudes of content,excellent family instructions and family tradition et al.(2)Family Resilience Scale for Rural Children are 38-items and eight factors communication and problem solving;Maintaining a positive outlook;Family beliefs;Contented;Connected and support;Flexibility.Internal consistency for the total RS-RC scalewas high with Cronbach's alpha value of 0.92.Cronbach's alpha coefficients of these subscales,which ranged between 0.66 and 0.79,it basically meets the requirements of psychometrics.(3)Empirical research shows that,it is chin mediation effects of psychological need and Psychological resilience between family resilience and child's hope in left behind children.In addition,family resilience influence child's hope indirectly through mediating effect of psychological need and Psychological resilience.
