Abstract/Summary:
During the Romantic Period,there was a great music composer as well as a performer and conductor called Franz Liszt who became a brilliant music master in the romantic era by right of his outstanding creative ability and performance skills.His program music and symphonic poems promoted the diversified development of musical genres and made outstanding contributions to the music industry.He also had many excellent works,including Ballade No.2 which had a strong sound effect and visual sense,giving people a very shocking feeling.The thesis contains four parts.The first chapter is the introduction of Liszt.Through the narration of his life and creation,it draws forth the origin and the background of the story of Ballade No.2,thus,it’s helpful to form a certain understanding of Liszt and the Ballade.In the second chapter,three performers and their performance versions are selected,which are briefly described from the following aspects: the growth and learning experience,living environment,social situation and the individual style of performing arts.On the basis of a certain understanding of the three performers and their playing versions,this paper makes a comparative analysis of their performances.At the beginning of this sentence,the common characteristics of the three pianists ’performances are explored and summarized.Then,the three performers’ playing versions are compared and analyzed from three perspectives: strength,speed and touching keys and timber,so as to draw a conclusion that the three performers have their own unique performance style and method of treatment.In the third chapter,the conclusion is drawn by comparing and analyzing the performance versions of the three performers,that is,when each artist or performer plays a piece of work,it is actually a process of recreation of the work.Most performers will respect the composer’s creative intention while adding their own understanding and perception of the work,including exaggerated deduction and deeply excavation of profound connotation of the work.The last chapter is the author’s enlightenment and insight.Firstly,it can greatly inspire piano learning,and more importantly,it can be used for reference in the teaching of Liszt’s piano works,which provides a theoretical basis for teaching.
