A·kulake's Preliminary Research And Reflection On "The Aesthetics Of Piano Performance"

Based on the work “Aesthetics of Piano Performance” written by Adolf Kulak-the German pianist and the musicologist,the thesis focuses on problems of the aesthetics of piano performance involved with him by introducing the scholar of Chinese music academia.Kulak's research covers the craft history of European keyboard instruments,the performance history of keyboards and piano for hundreds of years.Combining these aspects,Kulak puts forward his aesthetic concept of musical performance.With the Combination of the research of Kulak and the historical development of western piano performance aesthetics,the thesis discusses the aesthetics problems of several pianists such as Bach,Mozart,Beethoven,Liszt and Chopin.Meanwhile,the thesis also puts forward the author's points of view towards the problems by thinking over the aesthetic connotation of “Aesthetics of Piano Performance”.
